    no its not okay for terps to do that. from my experience, all terps always ask me where I prefer to sit and where I want them to be at. because I have VERY BAD vision, I need to see my terps close like people with usher syndrome but close enough.. that terp should be suspended for inappropriate professional behavior. WOW… sorry to say, what a DICK! I am proud of you for questioning and finding out your rights. THATS WHAT WE ALL NEED TO DO.

    NOW….. what I want to recommend is to EDCUATE the deaf people about terp service and our rights with them. I remember in year 2000, ADA Laws about deaf people was very well known and the services all over the place know what to do. Now the progress with terps service have been forgotten. Even my own insurance told me I need to call terp to set up and when I did that, they told me the insurance is responsible bec they are the payee. Man… TIME TO EDUCATE THE WORLD AGAIN!
